LA QUINTA--Main Street Marketplace will set a Mardi Gras-type mood 6-9 p.m. Friday. The event includes a parade with costumed revelers on Avenida Bermudas. SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO--The return of the swallows will be celebrated March 15 and 19 at the historic Spanish mission, with entertainment by mariachi bands, school choirs and local dance troupes.
