Ed Chaney, 87; Longtime County Resident

Ed Chaney, a retired wood hauler who had lived in Ventura County for the last 33 years, has died after a lengthy illness.
Chaney, 87, was born Dec. 25, 1909, in Manchester, Ga. In his home state, Chaney hauled wood for nearly 15 years.
Chaney is survived by his sons, Willie Chaney of Florida, Albert Daniel of Michigan and George Daniel of Georgia; and his brother, Willie James Chamblis of Georgia.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at Olivet Baptist Church in Ventura. Services will be handled by Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home.
