TRACK AND FIELD
Twenty Orange County schools will compete in the Irvine Invitational Saturday at Irvine High.
The 100 meters, the first race of the meet, begins at 9 a.m.
El Toro and Tustin, ranked Nos. 1 and 2 in The Times preseason boys’ poll, head the list of competitors. Other top 10 boys’ teams scheduled to compete are Dana Hills, Mater Dei, Woodbridge, Newport Harbor and Santa Ana.
The Woodbridge girls, ranked second in the county, should get a challenge from Esperanza (No. 6) and Dana Hills (No. 8).
