Homecoming: Tyrone Crenshaw, 1992 and ’93 City Section 4-A Division football player of the year at Sylmar High, will transfer from Michigan State to Cal State Northridge.
He will be eligible in the fall.
Crenshaw, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound running back who has two years of eligibility left, signed with Michigan State when he was in high school but moved back to Southern California with his wife and child in December.
“He had a great career around here and that will create interest in our football program so we’re happy about that,” Northridge Coach Jim Fenwick said. “He also has that burst of speed that can lead to big plays and we need as many of those players as possible to be competitive.”
