An Oxnard couple were nursing minor injuries Wednesday after their vehicle was hit by an Oxnard patrol car the night before.
Jose Luis Solorio, 35, and Elvia Solorio, 25, were treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and released.
Jose Solorio was driving north on Ventura Road about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when he attempted to make a left turn onto 7th Street, said police traffic investigator Joe Kaniewski. Solorio turned his late model Nissan in front of a police patrol car driven by Officer Victor Boswell, who was southbound on Ventura Road, Kaniewski said.
Boswell’s patrol car broadsided Solorio’s Nissan. Both vehicles were totaled, he said.
Boswell was not hurt in the accident.
