Manager Terry Collins wasn’t looking to accomplish much in the Angels’ split-squad game against an all-star team of Angel minor leaguers in Lake Elsinore.

“Just trying to get out of here in one piece,” Collins said. “We don’t seem to get out of anywhere in one piece.”

Lake Elsinore is no different than anywhere else.

Shigetoshi Hasegawa, scheduled to be the Angels’ fourth starter, threw 6 2/3 solid innings before he was hit in the left shin on a soft one-hopper back to the mound. Hasegawa suffered a bruised left knee but is scheduled to make his next start, Monday against Cal State Fullerton.

“It got him on the fat part of the leg,” Collins said. “He’s OK.”

The Angels, who started their regular lineup except for catcher Jim Leyritz, were not at their best on the basepaths. They had three players picked off--Darin Erstad, Tim Salmon and Luis Alicea. Dave Hollins had a three-run homer and a double and Gary DiSarcina had a two-run homer in the Angels’ 6-3 victory.

Troy Percival pitched the ninth and gave up one hit with one strikeout.
