Santa Margarita, Sr.
Serrins gave up five goals and had 18 shutouts in 22 games to lead Santa Margarita to the Division II title. She was selected the Division II defensive player of the year and is heading to University of Maryland.
KATIE TICEHURST
Forward
Mater Dei, Sr.
Ticehurst scored 16 goals and had seven assists, leading the Monarchs to the quarterfinals of the Division II playoffs. A two-time All-Southern Section selection, she could make an impact next season at USC.
LIZ DELGADO
Midfielder
Capistrano Valley, Sr.
One of the most talented field players in the county, Delgado played attacking midfielder and defender. She had 12 goals and 13 assists to lead Capistrano Valley to its first South Coast League title since 1989.
SOMMER HAMMOUD
Midfielder
Los Alamitos, Sr.
Hammoud, who will play for UCLA next season, led Los Alamitos to two consecutive Sunset League and Division I championships. She was selected the Division I defensive player of the year this season.
LOREE TAMANAHA
Midfielder
Edison, Sr.
Tamanaha creates plays beautifully in the middle of the field. She missed much of the early season because of a knee injury but returned to lead Edison to the semifinals of the Division I tournament.
ANDREA WARNER
Midfielder
Dana Hills, Sr.
An All-South Coast League selection as a sophomore, Warner sat out last season with an injury. She returned as a force in the middle this season with 10 goals and 16 assists. She’s heading to USC.
MARESA ZANETTI
Midfielder
Santa Margarita, Sr.
Zanetti scored the winning goal in the Division II final to give Santa Margarita its first Southern Section title. She was an All-Southern Section selection and is a three-time All-Sea View League selection.
KIM ABBAMONTO
Defender
Capistrano Valley, Jr.
A two-time All-Southern Section selection, Abbamonto is a powerful defender. She led Capistrano Valley to its first South Coast League title since 1989 and to the second round of the Division I playoffs.
SUSIE MORA
Defender
Santa Margarita, Sr.
One of the best marking backs in the county, USC-bound Mora always defended the opposing team’s best player. An All-Southern Section selection, her defensive skills helped the Eagles to the Division II title.
HEATHER NELSON
Defender
Esperanza, Sr.
Loyola Marymount-bound Nelson was the defensive most valuable player in the Excalibur tournament. She led Esperanza to second place in Sunset League and to the second round in Division I playoffs.
MEGAN ORACH
Defender
Marina, Sr.
Orach helped Marina to two Southern Section titles in her first two seasons and was an All-Sunset League selection the past two. Her leadership kept the Vikings competitive in league this season.
RICH MANNING
Coach of the Year
Los Alamitos
Manning has won two-consecutive Sunset League titles and Southern Section Division I titles. He also is a model of good sportsmanship on the sideline, providing positive encouragement to his players.

Kim Buccola
Midfielder
Mater Dei, Sr.
Helped Mater Dei to two South Coast League titles as a sophomore and junior and to the Division II quarterfinals this season.
Iris Gonzalez
Defender
El Dorado, Sr.
Gonzalez is an All-Empire League sweeper who helped El Dorado to the first round of the Southern Section Division II tournament.
Casey Hamel
Midfielder
Santa Margarita, Fr.
She could be the county’s next dominant player. She had 11 goals and 13 assists to help the Eagles to the Division II title.
Sarah Higham
Midfielder
Mission Viejo, Jr.
Higham scored nine goals and had a team-high 14 assists to lead Mission Viejo to the quarterfinals of the Division II playoffs.
Amanda Manton
Midfielder
Brea Olinda, Jr.
Manton helped Brea Olinda finish undefeated in Orange League and advance to the second round of the Division II playoffs.
Lauren Orlandos
Defender
El Toro, So.
Orlandos led El Toro to a second-place finish in the Sea View League and to the first round of the Division I playoffs.
Jill Pearson
Midfielder
El Modena, Sr.
A two-time All-Southern Section selection, Pearson scored 14 goals and had 12 assists to lead El Modena to two Southern Section finals.
Renee Peterson
Midfielder
Capistrano Valley, Jr.
Peterson scored 12 goals and had 11 assists to help Capistrano Valley to the South Coast League title.
Stacy Roberts
Midfielder
Laguna Hills, Sr.
Roberts had 13 goals and nine assists to lead the Hawks to the Pacific Coast League title and the first round of Division II playoffs.
Kirsten Roy
Goalkeeper
Aliso Niguel, Sr.
Roy had 120 saves this season to lead Aliso Niguel. She is heading to UC Irvine in fall.
Cyndi Tredway
Forward
Los Alamitos, Sr.
Tredway scored 23 goals to lead Los Alamitos to its second-consecutive Sunset League title and Division I championship.
