A 26-year-old Ventura man is awaiting arraignment on charges that he set his parents’ home on fire.
James Tracy Jr., allegedly had been arguing with his parents for the past several months, a police spokesman said. On Sunday about 11:45 p.m., Tracy allegedly poured gasoline on the garage of the family’s East Prospect Street home and ignited it, the spokesman said.
Officer Sam Arroyo, who was patrolling the area, saw the flames and called the Fire Department.
The blaze was put out before causing more damage to the house or injuries to Tracy’s parents. Tracy was arrested at the scene, officials said.
