TOPANGA — Sheriff’s homicide detectives have identified two bodies found near Topanga State Park last weekend.
One of the victims, Jose Manuel Vizcarro, 41, was discovered by a motorist about 6 a.m. Saturday on the roadside in the 1600 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Debra Glafkides. He had been bound and shot once.
The other man, Carlos Alberto Ibarra, 21, was found one mile south on the same road about 45 minutes later, she said. Ibarra, also bound, had been shot several times.
Sheriff’s officials said they have not confirmed the victims’ cities of residence, and declined to disclose how they identified the men.
Investigators are still searching for a 1991 white four-door Oldsmobile Cutlass that they believe was being used by the victims.
