Pedestrian Struck, Injured by Minivan

MISSION VIEJO — A man struck by a van at an intersection was in critical condition late Thursday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
The pedestrian, described by deputies as in his 20s, was running east on La Paz Road near Spadra Lane at 7 p.m. when he was struck by a minivan. The man’s name was not released pending notification of his relatives, deputies said.
The driver, whose name was not released, will not be cited for the accident, deputies said.
