Police Seek Gunmen Who Injured 3 Teens

Police were searching Monday for a group of men who opened fire on a group of teenagers walking to a church fiesta, wounding three.

About 9 p.m. Sunday, six teenagers were getting out of a Ford Bronco to go to Our Lady Del Pilar on West 6th Street when between four and seven men on bicycles approached them and began shooting, Sgt. Bob Clark said. Three teenagers were struck, but none of the injuries were life-threatening, authorities said.

A 17-year-old Santa Ana youth suffered gunshot wounds in the left thigh and foot, another teenager was injured in the arm, and a third boy, 15, was struck in the left cheek and right foot. Two victims were taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange and the third was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana. Their names were not released.
