From Times Wire Reports
One of the creators of Semtex, the plastic explosive sought by terrorists that was used to destroy Pan Am Flight 103 in 1988, apparently blew himself up, the news agency CTK reported. Bohumil Sole, 63, died May 25 in a blast that destroyed the main bathhouse at the spa of Jesenik, the agency said. An examination of body parts collected at the site, about 125 miles east of the capital, Prague, confirmed the victim’s identity, said CTK, quoting a police officer who said Sole’s death was ruled a suicide.
