Vigilante update--The defense has become a problem. The team made eight errors in losing two of three in Chico. Mission Viejo made five errors that accounted for five unearned runs in a 15-9 loss Sunday. First baseman Corey Park moved to the No. 2 spot and has gone four for eight and driven in three runs.

Bandit update--Marty Neff, a former standout at Magnolia High and Rancho Santiago College, started the week hitting .375. Kevin Schula (El Dorado High) is also playing in Bend. The field is unique in that a blinding sun sets in batters’ eyes in the early innings.
