Conejo Valley Real Estate Improved Over October ’96

There were 297 single-family homes sold in the Conejo Valley in October, compared with 350 in September and 217 a year earlier, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.
The median price for single-family homes sold in October was $265,624, up from the October 1996 figure of $236,931. The median price is the point where half the units sold for more and half for less.
The median price breakdown in October was $155,000 for 14 homes with up to two bedrooms; $223,528 for 108 three-bedroom homes; and $303,191 for 175 homes with four or more bedrooms. Last year, the figures were $140,000 for 14 two-bedroom homes, $190,000 for 76 three-bedroom homes and $287,499 for 127 houses with four or more bedrooms.
There were 79 condominiums sold in the Conejo Valley in October, compared with 101 in September and 78 a year earlier.
Total sales for all real estate transactions in October amounted to $106.3 million. A year earlier, the total was $72.7 million.
