Resource Center for Seniors Opens Doors

The Center for Senior Resources, a cooperative venture of the Irvine Senior Foundation, Irvine Senior Services and the Friends of Outreach, has opened.
The facility, in the Lakeview Senior Center at 20 Lake Road, will serve as the point of contact for people seeking information, referrals and resources regarding senior concerns in Irvine.
The center’s unofficial motto is “Information Without Voice Mail,” and either staff or volunteers are available to answer telephone calls and questions from walk-ins.
The facility is staffed by the city of Irvine’s Senior Services, interns and volunteers. The center will serve seniors, people approaching their senior years and caregivers, including adult children.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
