Police to Host Party for Neighborhood Kids
- Share via
Community police officers will have their annual Christmas Celebration for neighborhood children Wednesday at the Westend District Substation, with toys, music, candy and a visit from Santa.
Hundreds of toys, collected by Marines and Santa Ana neighbors, will be distributed to children who attend the event, said coordinator Gloria Perez.
Free popcorn, 50-cent hot dogs and special exhibits will also be available, and families can have their pictures taken with Santa for $2.
Perez said the party, in its seventh year, allows police to connect with children in the community, many of whom come from low-income families.
The substation is in the Lucky Shopping Center at McFadden Avenue and Harbor Boulevard.
The party begins at 4 p.m. Information: (714) 647-5062.
