VENTURA — Authorities say a 32-year-old Ventura man suffered moderate injuries Monday when he jumped from a moving car while arguing with a female passenger.
Matthew Marrufo was driving east on Ventura Boulevard about 7 p.m. when he and the unidentified woman got into a domestic dispute, said Ventura Police Cpl. R. Broomfield.
The woman told officers that as Marrufo approached Johnson Drive, he opened the driver’s door and jumped out, Broomfield said.
Authorities said Marrufo suffered bruises, and a cut to his head. He was conscious and responsive while being treated at the scene, and was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center.
Officers were expected to question Marrufo late Monday.
