HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

The following will be closed Thursday, Christmas Day:
* All city, county, state and federal offices, and county, state and federal courthouses
* City and county libraries.
* BANKS: Most banks will be open today, Christmas Eve, until 4 p.m., and closed Christmas Day.
* SCHOOLS: There will be no classes at public elementary or secondary schools through Jan. 4.
* MAIL: There will be no regular mail delivery. Post offices will be closed.
* TRASH: There will be no trash pickup for city or county residents. Trash collection for Los Angeles city residents will be on Friday.
* TRANSPORTATION: MTA buses will run on holiday schedules. Metrolink trains are not running.
