The Lancaster JetHawks got strong performances from three pitchers en route to a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Giants in a California League game Sunday front of 4,584 at Lancaster Municipal Stadium.
After starter Joe Victery worked five shutout innings, Eric Morgan (4-3) allowed one run in the next 2 1/3 innings for the win and Sean Spencer pitched the final four outs, striking out three for his 11th save.
The JetHawks (56-51, 23-14 in the second half) broke a scoreless tie in the fifth when David Skeels of Thousand Oaks singled home Cirilo Cruz. Joel Ramirez later broke a 1-1 deadlock with a two-run double in the seventh, scoring Cruz and Josh Watts.
