In the Freedom League:
St. Margaret’s 30, Riverside Sherman Indian 0--St. Margaret’s caused four turnovers and limited Sherman Indian to 120 yards total offense to win its homecoming game Saturday at Capistrano Valley High.
Jimmy Freeman threw for a touchdown, a 15-yard pass to Rhett Swanson, and rushed for one, a 22-yard run.
Alex Perin scored two touchdowns for St. Margaret’s, the first on a 16-yard run and the second on a one-yard run.
In the Christian League:
Hesperia Christian 47, Southern California Christian 0--Hesperia (1-7, 1-2) rushed for 350 yards and seven touchdowns. Southern California Christian (1-7, 0-3) committed three turnovers and was held to 92 yards total offense.
In the Victory League:
Capistrano Valley Christian 24, Sherman Oaks Buckley 0--Dustin Smith rushed 23 times for 227 yards and two touchdowns in a victory for Capistrano Valley Christian (3-5, 3-2). Smith scored both touchdowns in the fourth quarter on rushes of three and 10 yards.
Ryan Allen scored on an 11-yard run for the Eagles in the first quarter.
Brian Morabito kicked a 32-yard field goal for Capistrano Valley Christian in the second quarter.
In Express League eight-man football:
Wildomar California Lutheran 52, Liberty Christian 14--Josh Turnbull scored three touchdowns for Cal Lutheran (6-1-1, 3-1). Turnbull scored on passes of 17 and 10 yards from Daniel Johnson. Turnbull rushed 23 times for 154 yards and a 31-yard touchdown.
Cal Lutheran’s Ben Hoeschen rushed for touchdowns on runs of three, two and two yards.
Nick Mendoza scored on a four-yard run for Liberty Christian (3-5, 1-3). Mendoza had seven carries for 42 yards.
Aaron Mendoza caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Leeman for Liberty Christian’s other touchdown.
