St. Francis 34, Harvard-Westlake 12--Kjell Nesen completed 12 of 13 passes, including his first eight, for 238 yards and a touchdown to spark the Golden Knights (5-3, 2-1) at Harvard-Westlake (3-5, 1-2).
Nesen connected with Steve Saldana for a 27-yard touchdown in the first quarter, scored on an eight-yard run in the third quarter and converted four of five extra-point attempts.
Darius Brown rushed for 91 yards in 23 carries for St. Francis and scored on runs of one and two yards. Junior Maurice Law returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown to open the third quarter to make the score 21-6.
John Terzian completed 10 of 20 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown for Harvard-Westlake. He hit Brent Pantell, who had seven receptions for 129 yards, on a 52-yard scoring play in the first quarter to give the Wolverines a 6-0 lead.
St. Francis scored the next 28 points on four of six possessions.
