Video Explains Freeway Project

For those curious about construction work on the Santa Ana Freeway in North County, the state Department of Transportation and Orange County Transportation Authority are providing answers in a free videotape.
The 14-minute video, available in Spanish and English, features an overview of the $1.1-billion, four-year improvement project that began earlier this year. Anyone who requests it, by calling (714) 724-2077, may borrow the video.
The project consists of widening 9.5 miles of the freeway in Orange, Anaheim, Fullerton and Buena Park.
It is being funded primarily by Measure M, the half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements that was approved by voters in 1990.
