Multicultural Music, Dance Exhibit Coming

World Beat, an eclectic exhibition including music and dance, will be held next Saturday at Orange Coast College.
Sponsored by the college’s Native American Student Organization, the second annual multicultural and dance exhibition will run from 6 to 11 p.m. in the campus Fine Arts Recital Hall. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and $5 for children 12 and under.
Proceeds will be used to deliver clothing, food and other necessities to Native Americans. Last spring, 8 tons of food was delivered to the Tarahumara tribe in Mexico’s Sierra Madre.
World Beat will include dances and music representing the African, Aztec, Native American, Middle Eastern, Hawaiian, Irish, Caribbean and Tahitian cultures.
