BREA — After a two-month investigation, police arrested a man they say took stereos, sporting goods and other items from mini-storage lockers throughout Orange County and stashed them in his own units.
Stephen Dale Bernard, 42, of Placentia, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and stolen property, Brea police said Friday.
Searches Thursday and Friday at rental lockers in Brea and Fullerton and at a home in Placentia turned up the stolen items, which also included crystal and sports memorabilia, police said.
Anyone who’s had a mini-storage locker burglarized within the past few months should contact Brea Police Det. Dave Wearp at (714) 671-4411. A police report indicating the stolen items is needed for identification.
