Taft 35, Chatsworth 17--Cedric Hurns rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns in nine carries and the Torreadors (8-0, 6-0) survived 126 penalty yards to defeat the Chancellors (4-5, 2-4) at Taft.
Hurns had touchdown runs of one and 39 yards in the fourth quarter. Chatsworth closed to within 21-17 entering the fourth quarter after falling behind 21-7 in the second quarter.
Taft’s Steven Alvarado completed 12 of 23 passes for 200 yards, including touchdown plays of 37 and 31 yards.
