Birmingham 27, Cleveland 6--Scott Doherty threw three touchdown passes and Emmanuel Evans carried 22 times for 140 yards for the Braves (7-2, 4-2) at Birmingham.
Doherty completed five of 12 passes for 140 yards, including touchdowns of 41 yards to Jerome Riley, 38 yards to Bobby Davis and 30 yards to Evans.
Larry Brown completed eight of 17 passes for 185 yards for Cleveland (2-7, 1-5).
