Hart Cashes In Late Turnovers by Burroughs

Hart High pulled away by capitalizing on three fourth-quarter turnovers to defeat Burroughs, 38-6, Friday night in a Foothill League game at Burroughs.
It was Hart’s 32nd consecutive league victory.
Scott Hunt recovered a fumble at the Burroughs 38-yard line with 11:14 remaining and later scored on a one-yard run to give Hart (8-1, 4-0 in league play) a 24-6 lead.
A botched fake punt by Burroughs and the first of two interceptions by Shane Lavoie led to Hart’s final touchdowns.
David Neill connected with Kyle Boller for an 11-yard scoring play after the fake punt gave Hart the ball on the Burroughs 39.
Billy Brecht scored on a two-yard run to cap 34-yard drive after the interception.
Neill completed 15 of 26 passes for 243 yards, including three touchdowns and had one pass intercepted.
Brecht rushed for 94 yards in 11 carries.
Burroughs (4-5, 1-3) scored on a reverse pass from wide receiver Kyle Cremarosa to Glenn Adriatico to close out the first half. The 81-yard scoring play cut Hart’s lead to 14-6.
