FULLERTON — Brian McDonald rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown as Buena Park took advantage of three Fullerton turnovers for a 30-10 Freeway League victory Friday at Fullerton High.
Eric Wolford rushed for 78 yards for Buena Park (4-5, 3-1).
Robert Fulton passed for 150 yards and a touchdown to lead Fullerton (3-5-1, 0-3-1).
Fullerton opened the scoring on a 37-yard field goal by Jeff Cody.
Buena Park countered with 30 unanswered points. The Coyotes started with a 14-play, 85-yard drive that was capped by McDonald’s five-yard scoring run.
Buena Park then used its defense to put the game out of reach.
The Coyotes converted interceptions by Wolford, Roberto Gutierrez and Felipe Hermosillo into touchdown runs by Tony Alonzo, Wolford and Gutierrez.
Fullerton tried to mount a comeback when Aaron Sarinna turned a short pass into a 50-yard touchdown.
But another Indian drive was stopped at the five-yard line late in the game.
That allowed Buena Park’s offense to run out out the clock.
