A festival featuring food from 16 local restaurants will take place Saturday at Mission San Juan Capistrano to raise money and promote the city as a dining destination.
The San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce Restaurant Assn., formed in March, plans to eventually make what is know this year as Vintage ’97 an annual affair. The association put together a color restaurant guide last month, and the San Juan Capistrano City Council contributed $4,000.
Restaurants participating in Saturday’s event are: Sarducci’s, Pranzare, Ruby’s, El Adobe, Parino’s Trattoria, Egan House, Cafe Mozart, Marie Callender’s, the Capistrano Depot Restaurant, L’Hirondelle, Dairy Queen, JJ Beans Espresso Cafe, Harry’s Family Restaurant, Diedrich’s Coffee, Cedar Creek Inn and Mollies Famous Cafe.
The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m., at Camino Capistrano and Ortega Highway.
