The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors announced Tuesday a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for killing Raul Felix Jr., 17, a South Gate boy who was gunned down last year after getting lost in Lynwood.
Shortly before midnight on Sept. 14, 1996, Felix was looking for a freeway offramp when he turned into a residential neighborhood. There, he was chased by gang members who shot and killed him, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The reward is being offered now because investigators have no leads in the case, authorities said.
Anyone with information can call Sgt. Bob Perry at (213) 890-5500.
