City Council to Hold Session at College

The City Council is going Hollywood.
The 15-member council, staff members and, of course, their television and recording equipment, will appear Wednesday at Los Angeles City College in Hollywood.
In an effort to bring government to the people, the council has agreed to meet periodically in locations around the city. The trouble is that there aren’t too many city-owned buildings that can hold more than 200 people.
Wednesday’s meeting will be held at the college’s Clausen Hall Student Center, 855 N. Vermont Ave. The meeting, expected to begin at 10 a.m., will enable residents and college students to watch as the council tackles, among other things, a plan to fund new sanitation vehicles and recycling containers, amendments to car lease agreements at the airport and a change in a contract with a homeless services group.
