A man featured on the television show “America’s Most Wanted” as a prime suspect in two 1995 murders has been arrested with the help of a tip received from a viewer, federal officials announced Friday.
Lorris Terriell Robinson, 29, was taken into custody Wednesday in Los Angeles and is being held pending the filing of charges, said Timothy P. McNally, director of the FBI’s Los Angeles field office.
Robinson allegedly killed Willie Burris on Sept. 20, 1995, as the victim sat in his van in South-Central.
Three months later, Robinson allegedly killed Kevin Reneau in a South-Central motel room after bursting into the room and robbing two other occupants.
Robinson, profiled three times on “America’s Most Wanted,” was arrested by FBI personnel, Los Angeles police officers and sheriff’s deputies who are members of a fugitive task force, McNally said.
