Re “INS Toughens Rules on Sponsoring Immigrants,” Oct. 21:
All the media’s repeated references to immigrants being separated from their impoverished “loved ones” are getting more and more maudlin and ring hollow. If immigrant family sponsors really care all that much for every one of their dependent extended family members, they can all darn well reunite in the sponsor’s home country. Otherwise it’s high time to start thinking about our native-born families for a change!
