Janet Wells, director of human resources for Irvine Ranch Water District, has been appointed to the 1997 Board of Examiners for the California Governor’s Golden State Quality Awards.
The awards are offered annually to California business, health care, education, government and nonprofit organizations that demonstrate the highest levels of quality management and performance excellence.
As an examiner, Wells will review and score written examinations and participate in further examination of those organizations whose applications earn site visits. Winners are selected by a panel of judges, based on the examiners’ evaluations.
The board is composed of leading California quality experts selected from industry, trade and educational organizations.
The Golden State Quality Awards are administered by the California Center for Quality, Educations and Development, a nonprofit corporation.
