4 O.C. Nonprofits Get $30,000 in Grants

Four Orange County nonprofit organizations and charities have received $30,000 in grants from Union Bank of California Foundation.
The foundation provided $1.8 million in contributions and grants to nonprofit organizations and charities in California, Oregon and Washington during the first half of this year.
In Orange County, $10,000 donations were made to the Orange County Performing Arts Center and the UCI Chief Executive Roundtable, and AIDS Walk Orange County and Chapman University each received $5,000.
Within the three West Coast states, $752,300 went to health and welfare agencies, including 11 Christmas in April projects--one in Orange County--in which volunteers help renovate homes in the community.
The bank foundation also gave donations to education, community economic development, cultural and arts programs.
