Homes, Metro Pointe Honored for Upkeep

The new Metro Pointe shopping center took top honors at the recent Mesa Pride Awards ceremony, which recognizes well-kept commercial centers, homes and condominium complexes.

The outdoor shopping center on South Coast Drive, named best commercial development, includes retailers, movie theaters and restaurants.

Best-kept homes, by geographic area, for 1997 are:

* North, 2866 Boa Vista Drive

* East, 2572 Westminster Ave.

* West, 2421 College Ave.

Condominium community honors went to:

* North, 3102 Coral Ave.

* East, corner of Santa Ana Avenue and 18th Street.

* West, corner of Wilson Street and Fordham Drive.
