Simpson Has Moved Out of Mansion, Attorney Says

O.J. Simpson has moved out of his Brentwood mansion to a house in the Los Angeles area, an attorney for the former football star said Monday.
Simpson left his home of 20 years over the Labor Day weekend, said attorney Dan Leonard, who declined to disclose Simpson’s new address. Simpson has reportedly moved to a gated community about a mile east of his old home.
A rental truck remained in the mansion’s driveway Monday.
Fred Sands Realtors, which has the listing, planned to announce that Simpson was gone and that it will take a few weeks to prepare the home for showing.
With Simpson behind on his mortgage, Hawthorne Savings foreclosed on the house and then bought it at a July auction for $2.63 million. The current asking price is $3.95 million, Fred Sands said.
Proceeds from the sale will not go to the victims’ families, but instead toward liens on the property, against which Simpson had borrowed to pay legal bills.
