Paraclete 30, Serrano 15--Dominic Washington rushed for 142 yards in the first half, scoring on runs of three and six yards, for the Spirits (2-0) at Serrano High.
Washington finished with 178 yards in 25 carries.
Rich Caton ran for an 11-yard touchdown to give Paraclete a 21-0 halftime lead.
The Spirits, who scored on three of their first four possessions, added another touchdown midway the third quarter when Mike Hudson returned a punt 72 yards for a score, giving Paraclete a 27-0 lead.
Paraclete held the Diamondbacks (1-1) to 29 yards rushing in the first half, and 92 overall.
