State and federal labor investigators raided more laundry services Wednesday, citing operators for illegally paying workers in cash and failing to keep proper records.
Investigators issued citations at Hi-Tech Cleaners and Skypark Laundry in Irvine, White Bear Laundry in Fullerton and Country Laundry in Fountain Valley.
They also inspected Chicago Laundry and Dye in Santa Ana but found no violations, said Henry Huerta, senior state deputy labor commissioner.
It was the second day of raids on Orange County establishments by the officials assigned to the Targeted Industries Partnership Program.
On Tuesday, inspectors closed four laundries because they lacked workers’ compensation insurance, and found a variety of other violations, Huerta said.
Two of the Garden Grove businesses, Crystal Laundry and Western Laundry & Cleaners, reopened Wednesday after providing documents showing they have workers’ compensation insurance, Huerta said.
Investigators targeted the laundries after receiving anonymous complaints, officials said.
