Pacifica Defeats Argonauts

Adam Rachlin went four for four and drove in four runs to help Pacifica defeat host Garden Grove, 10-3, Wednesday in a Garden Grove League baseball game.
Brian Barre had three hits, including a double and a triple, and had three runs scored and four stolen bases for the Mariners (6-6, 3-1 in league), who had three pitchers limit Garden Grove to four hits.
The Argonauts are also 6-6, 3-1.
In other Garden Grove League games:
No. 1 La Quinta 18, Rancho Alamitos 2 (5, mercy)--Adriel Gomez and Beau Walters each had four RBIs for La Quinta (14-0, 4-0), which scored 11 runs in the third inning.
Rancho Alamitos is 6-7, 2-3.
Santiago 2, Bolsa Grande 1--Bryan Pilkington pitched a five-hitter as Santiago (1-8, 1-3) scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to post its first victory. Pilkington (1-2), a freshman, had eight strikeouts.
In the Empire League:
El Dorado 8, Century 0--Andrew McMillan homered for visiting El Dorado (9-4, 5-1).
In the Golden West League:
No. 8 Tustin 11, Santa Ana 1 (5, mercy)--Brian Burns hit a three-run home run and Richard Lane had a three-run double and a sacrifice fly for host Tustin (10-3, 5-2).
9In the South Coast League:
No. 2 Mater Dei 12, Capistrano Valley 2 (5, mercy)--Pat Manning, Jon Kinney, Josh Hansen, Tony Gatoff and Steve Henderson hit home runs and Nick Lovato struck out five in five innings to improve to 5-0 for Mater Dei (12-1, 7-0).
In the Kennedy tournament:
Paramount 11, Western 0--Paramount won the tournament with the victory.
In consolation games:
Kennedy 5, Whittier California 0--Gabe Roman pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts for Kennedy (8-8) in the consolation final. All of the outs Roman recorded were either strikeouts or ground outs.
California is 12-3.
Anaheim 11, Montebello 5--Ian Keleher had three hits and four RBIs for the Colonists (6-8).
Katella 7, Savanna 1--Darren Sack struck out four and gave up five hits and no runs in five innings for host Katella (10-6).
Valencia 8, Victorville Silverado 2--Dan Taylor (1-0) struck out eight, giving up four hits in 6 1/3 innings to pick up his first victory for Valencia (6-8-1).
In the Gladstone Tournament:
Troy 11, Phelan Serrano 5--Matt Curtis had four RBIs for the Warriors (6-9) in the consolation final.
