A police officer shot in the foot during a run-in with a robbery suspect was listed in good condition Friday, officials said.
Two officers were driving through an alley east of Hoffman Avenue near Anaheim Street at 10 p.m. Thursday when they saw a man robbing another at gunpoint, said police spokesman Harry Erickson.
One officer shouted to the other that the suspect had a gun, officials said. Shots were fired, wounding one officer in the foot and the robbery victim in the leg.
Officers are investigating whose gun was responsible for the robbery victim’s wounds, Erickson said. The suspect fled and remained at large late Friday. Police did not release the identities of anyone involved.
