Art can transfix viewers, sometimes absorbing them entirely. Workers temporarily become part of a billboard they are assembling along La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles. A man’s reflection becomes part of the shiny sign in front of downtown L.A.’s Museum of Contemporary Art.
