ABSORBING

Art can transfix viewers, sometimes absorbing them entirely. Workers temporarily become part of a billboard they are assembling along La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles. A man’s reflection becomes part of the shiny sign in front of downtown L.A.’s Museum of Contemporary Art. And Katy Campbell, 11, and her sister Sophie, 7, are drawn into the comic-book world inside Marvel Mania restaurant at Universal CityWalk.
SWINGERS
