Nope, it’s not fiction.
Six lucky KCLU-FM (88.3) listeners will get a chance to collaborate with science fiction master Ray Bradbury on a story during the taping of the public radio station’s “Beyond Words” program from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday.
The broadcast will take place live at the Borders Books & Music in Thousand Oaks during “benefit days,” in which the bookstore donates 15% of purchase prices if customers mention the public radio station.
Bradbury is the author of scores of short stories, novels and screenplays, including “Fahrenheit 451,” “The Martian Chronicles” and “The Illustrated Man.”
The listeners who will brainstorm with him called in during KCLU’s recent membership drive, which raised more than $61,000.
After the taping, Bradbury will sign books and chat with audience members.
