Boxer Mancini

I would like to thank Mike Downey for the excellent column (“An Ex-Champion Goes at It With Body and Soul,” April 26) on Boom Boom Mancini. We often lose track of some of the best fighters of our times. To hear that he took charge of his life after the rugged sport of boxing and has achieved not only a career, but is taking on a major role as a producer of a great film remake, is heartwarming.
