Year’s Political Races to Be Chamber Topic
- Share via
Allan Hoffenblum, a Republican political consultant, will discuss this year’s political races in an address Wednesday at the Greater San Fernando Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon.
Hoffenblum is expected to comment on the hotly contested June state Senate primary in which Richard Katz lost to Richard Alarcon by 29 votes. Hoffenblum managed the 1980 reelection bid of former Assemblyman Bob Hayes, who lost to Katz, and the 1993 City Council campaign of Ray Magana, who lost to Alarcon.
Hoffenblum is publisher of the California Target Book, a subscription service that tracks and analyzes congressional and state legislature contests. He also managed the successful campaigns of Roberta Weintraub for the Los Angeles Unified School District Board and Ernani Bernardi for Los Angeles City Council.
The luncheon will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Odyssey restaurant, 15600 Odyssey Drive, Granada Hills. Tickets are $14 in advance or $16 at the door.
