Guard Slain at Santa Ana Bar

A security guard was shot and killed Friday night at the El Corral bar in Santa Ana, police said.
The incident occurred about 8:30 p.m., Police Sgt. Nalua Kahapea said, and officers detained a suspect.
Further details were not immediately available. It was not clear whether the victim worked at the bar or was a patron. A man answering the telephone at El Corral would not comment.
The bar is in the 1700 block of East McFadden Avenue, east of Grand Avenue.
