Charges in Officer’s Death to Be Dropped

Murder charges against two men accused of killing a Detroit policeman over the weekend will be dropped. District Judge Wade McCree said charges against Darryl Boggon, 34, and Jamal Randle, 27, would be dismissed after meetings with prosecutors. Lawyers for Boggon and Randle said they were told the case against their clients fell apart after a witness could not pick either man out of a police lineup. The lawyers said police told them they also had problems with the credibility of the witness.
