Dolled Up for Action

If you think everything these days comes with a toy tie-in, you wouldn’t be far wrong.

This spring look for Minnesota Gov.-Elect Jesse “The Body” Ventura action figures, based on dolls featured in his campaign ads. You can tell the Ventura dolls from the “Bug’s Life” toys by the shaved head, bulging muscles and dark suit. Not to mention the price tag, expected to start at $19 (most profits reportedly are going to charity).

There’s just too much potential here to limit action figures to Ventura, though.

How about a Rep. Bob Livingston doll, with a prerecorded voice that tells you he’s quitting and suggests you do the same? Or a President Clinton doll that juts his V-signs skyward, a la Nixon, and intones, “I am not a liar.”
