Pierce College will sponsor a series of free Wednesday workshops for people who want to attend college but are unsure if they qualify for financial aid, officials said.
The workshops will be designed to answer general and specific financial aid questions, said Jeremy Villar, financial aid manager at the Woodland Hills campus.
“The different types of financial aid applications will be explained, along with how to fill out each one,” Villar said. “We also will answer questions about any special circumstances the participants may have.”
In all, six workshops will be held. Two workshops beginning at 5 p.m. will be held Wednesday and Feb. 25. The remaining workshops will begin at 1 p.m. They will be held Feb. 18, March 4, April 1 and May 6, officials said.
All workshops will be held in the financial aid conference room, bungalow 327, on the Pierce campus, 6201 Winnetka Ave.
