Henderson Tries to Stay Positive

A day after suffering their first home-court loss of the season, 84-81, to Stanford and dropping out of contention for the Pacific 10 Conference title, the Bruins maintained that they know better days are ahead.
“I believe in this team,” said senior forward J.R. Henderson, “and what we’re capable of doing. All it takes is just a little concentration.”

For the first time since speculation emerged a month ago that center Jelani McCoy might be suspended again, Coach Steve Lavin indicated Friday night that he thought McCoy would be eligible for the rest of the season.
